Elute-VIP-HESI-timsTOF Pro 2

The TIMS-TOF Pro 2 (Bruker Daltonics, Germany) represents the state of the art in Quadrupole Time-of-Flight (qTOF) technology. The instrument achieves an ultra-high resolution of >80,000, supported by a high-sensitivity heated ion source with active exhaust (VIP-HESI). A unique dual trapped ion mobility (TIMS) device is incorporated into the system, enabling PASEF (Parallel Accumulation-Serial Fragmentation) technology. Through PASEF, ions are accumulated in the first TIMS cartridge and separated by mobility in the second. They are then selectively isolated by the first quadrupole, fragmented in the collision cell, and analyzed by the TOF. This architecture enables 4D-Metabolomics, providing unsurpassed confidence in compound identification. The system is coupled with an Elute UPLC (Ultra-High Performance Liquid Chromatography) system, offering superior separation power for complex metabolome samples.

For data processing, the MetaboScape software suite is integrated to manage the entire workflow—from raw data processing and untargeted analysis to multivariate statistics and biological network mapping. Additionally, the TASQ (Targeted Analysis for Screening and Quantitation) client is seamlessly integrated into the workflow, allowing for highly efficient targeted screening. The built-in statistical packages encompass both advanced multivariate analyses and large-scale univariate calculations.
