Public awareness event on respiratory infections co-organized by the Medical School of the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens and the Municipality of Papagou–Cholargos, within the framework of the National Flagship Action PRO-sCAP.

The open event, held on Thursday, 18 December 2025 at the “Mikis Theodorakis” Auditorium of the Papagou–Cholargos Town Hall, focused on respiratory infections, public health, and personalized medicine, aiming to inform and engage the wider community.

Next Meeting of the PRO-sCAP Consortium

The next consortium meeting will take place on Thursday, December 5, 2025, at the Medical School of the University of Crete, in the presence of the Scientific Advisory Committee (SAC). The committee, composed of distinguished European researchers, will meet the following day with the scientific leads of the Flagship Action, Professors Giorgos Chamilos and Aristeidis Eliopoulos, to discuss the project’s results and future prospects.

Social Contribution of the PRO-sCAP Flagship Action

Within the framework of the PRO-sCAP Flagship Action, the Outpatient Clinic of Genetic & Pharmacogenetic Counseling at “Attikon” University General Hospital, under the scientific supervision of Professor Despina Sanoudou and Professor Sotiris Tsiodras, provides free of charge pharmacogenetic testing and personalized guidance to the patients enrolled in this clinical study, in co-ordination with their treating physicians, for the optimal use of the indicated therapies.

Inaugural Event of the PRO-sCAP Flagship Action

On April 15, 2025, the official Inaugural Event of the PRO-sCAP Flagship Action was held, marking the operational launch of the initiative and coordinating the actions of all the stakeholders involved.
