Targeted Epidemiological Studies Aims To Improve The Diagnosis And Treatment Of Pulmonary Mycotic Infections Through:

  • Studying the molecular epidemiology of sCAP and pulmonary mycotic infections,
  • Active monitoring of antimicrobial resistance (in collaboration with the Hellenic Centre for Disease Control and Prevention),
  • Implementing unified clinical diagnosis and treatment protocols for mycotic infections based on international guidelines,
  • Implementing molecular diagnosis protocols for mycotic infections with the goal of timely treatment and improving patient outcomes and pharmacogenetics,
  • Implementing a drug level monitoring program and treatment guidance, including pharmacogenetics, to optimize patient therapy.
